Frank X Walker Literary Festival “Authors in Our Schools Day”

Friday September 19th is the Frank X Walker Literary Festival “Authors in Our Schools Day”. Authors will be in all five Danville Independent Schools that day working with students. Literary Festival activities for Saturday September 20th include a book fair and readings at Danville High School in the lobby and the Gravely Hall Performing Arts Center, and readings Saturday morning in the Boyle County Public Library. Authors for the Saturday program include Frank X Walker, Maurice Manning, Wendell Berry and many other authors from Kentucky and members of the Affrilachian Poets. Bate Middle School Open House

Come visit our school! Tuesday night, September 2nd, we will have "Night at Bate Middle" from 6-7:30. Come meet our new principals, Beth Lee and Michelle Carver AND our new superintendent, Keith Look. Bate Football Team Wins Champions Bowl

On Saturday the Bate Middle School Football team defeated Lexington Christian Academy 22-0 in the 3rd Annual Champions Bowl hosted by Boyle County. Brennen McGuire, Pierce Haines, and Isaiah Miller all scored touchdowns with a pair of two point conversions scored by Seth Gosser and Zach Thornton.
